- What is 'Aeter Euum'? -
Aeter Euum is a series, developed by Edward Blankenship. It's completely fan made and unofficial, but it is a creative hobby I enjoy working on and sharing. The series is based around OCs (Original Characters) in a fantasy setting which includes various elements, such as steam punk, sci-fi and the Victorian era.
Its story takes place on a planet called Aeternus, meaning "Eternal". The title itself, Aeter Euum, means "Eternal, Everlasting World" in Latin. This is because I take pride in the fact, that fictional characters and their stories may continue to exist for many generations even after it's creator.
I only call it a series because it's technically a story, yet at the same time it has potential to become a video game or even more. You may find art, music and stories I've done or commissioned for this series, on the net. Also, while I'd love to, I don't plan on creating anything like a manga or anime. Mostly because I don't have the skill or money to. Due to this fact, I cannot accept donations or any propositions for commercial uses. Not that it's very likely, though. I know there are many creators of OCs and worlds out there, afterall. However, I would at least like to make a freeware game of it someday, using an engine like RPGMaker. At my Deviant Art, you can see some of the game sprites I've made for this purpose. My blog also contains many stats and formulas for the RPG. Whether it is released or not, I find it fun to write and it helps me create things like items and spells which would exist in my world.
As to why I created this: like most good series, in my opinion, I created it for myself; to have something beautiful. That's what I think a lot of new games and shows are missing. The dream and desire for something unique and beloved. Not just for some consumer, to sell out by incorporating popular trends into it. The whole idea is simply to develop something that is enjoyable for myself, as well as whomever else might enjoy it. So I hope you do too.
